About AGI
Advanced Giga Inc. designs, fabricates, and deploys modular data center infrastructure for hyperscale operators. Our flagship products—the MDH (Modular Data Hall), MTCS (Modular Technology Cooling System), and MES (Modular Energy Server)—are factory-built, tested, and commissioned before they ever leave our facility. We are not a general contractor. We are an engineering-led manufacturer that owns the full lifecycle: design, fabrication, controls integration, factory acceptance testing, delivery, and on-site commissioning. Our clients include the largest cloud infrastructure providers in the world.
We are a small, high-impact team where your decisions directly shape outcomes on programs worth tens of millions of dollars. If you have spent your career inside large organizations and are looking for a place where your experience actually gets used—not diluted across layers of bureaucracy—this is it.
The Role
AGI is hiring a Project Controls Manager to build and maintain the cost and schedule control framework for a multi-phase modular data center program. You will be the analytical backbone of the execution team—the person who ensures leadership and the client always has an accurate picture of where the program stands against the baseline.
This program consists of multiple modules across overlapping phases on a firm fixed price contract. There is no room for surprises. Your job is to detect variances early, quantify impacts, and give the PM actionable data to make decisions before problems become crises. You will own the master schedule, cost tracking, earned value reporting, change order management, and client-facing status reports.
What You Will Actually Do
- Build the program baseline schedule (procurement, fabrication, testing, delivery, commissioning) within 2 weeks of contract award and maintain it as the single source of truth throughout execution
- Develop and maintain the cost baseline and work breakdown structure (WBS) aligned with the firm fixed price contract structure
- Produce biweekly earned value reports (CPI, SPI, EAC, ETC) and variance analysis narratives for leadership and client reporting
- Track and report schedule performance with critical path analysis—identify float erosion and flag schedule risks before they become delays
- Manage the change order log—document scope changes, quantify cost and schedule impacts, and ensure formal approval before work proceeds
- Coordinate with the Procurement Manager to track committed costs vs. budget and forecast final procurement spend
- Prepare client-facing monthly status reports with schedule updates, cost performance, risk register updates, and milestone tracking
- Maintain the program risk register with quantified impacts and mitigation status
- Support cash flow forecasting and payment milestone tracking aligned with the contract payment schedule
- Develop and maintain program dashboards that give leadership real-time visibility into schedule and cost health
Who You Are
- 10+ years of project controls experience in construction, industrial manufacturing, or EPC environments
- Demonstrated experience as the lead controls professional on programs valued at $25M+
- Expert proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6 preferred, MS Project acceptable) with the ability to build and maintain CPM schedules from scratch
- Strong earned value management (EVM) skills—you can explain CPI, SPI, and EAC to a non-technical audience without losing accuracy
- Experience with firm fixed price contract structures and the cost control discipline they require
- Strong Excel/data analysis skills for cost tracking, forecasting, and variance reporting
- Experience preparing client-facing reports for sophisticated owners (hyperscale, government, or institutional clients)
- Ability to work independently—you will be the only controls professional on this program and need to own it completely
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in data center, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical facility construction
- Familiarity with modular or off-site fabrication schedule structures (different from traditional field construction)
- PMP, CCP (Certified Cost Professional), or PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional) certification
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools for program dashboards
- Experience supporting multiple concurrent phases or projects under a single program umbrella
What We Offer
- Base salary: $130,000 - $165,000
- Ownership of your domain—you set the processes, you build the relationships, you drive the outcomes
- Performance bonus tied to program delivery milestones
- Direct impact on a high-growth company at the intersection of manufacturing and critical infrastructure
- A technical leadership team that speaks your language (engineering-led company, not sales-led)
- The chance to build something from a formative stage—this is not a mature 500-person organization with established playbooks. We are building those playbooks, and the right person will help write them
